AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY — NEW SEPTEMBER UPDATES AND BIG RUMORS

Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is getting closer, and this month we got some interesting new updates about the movie. The movie is still set to release on December 18, 2026. Marvel has already confirmed that Doctor Doom will be the main villain, and Robert Downey Jr. will play him. But now Marvel has given us some new clues about what could happen in the movie. NEW ENDGAME SCENES CONNECT TO DOOMSDAY Marvel recently brought Avengers: Endgame back to theaters with some new scenes. These scenes are important because they connect Endgame with Doomsday. One scene shows Loki visiting Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. This could be important because Loki’s story is closely connected to the multiverse. Another scene shows Bruce Banner being visited by Doctor Doom. We still don't know exactly why Doom wants to find Bruce. The biggest question is what Doom needs from him. DOCTOR DOOM IS MAKING HIS MASK Another new scene shows Doctor Doom making his famous mask. This is especially interesting because Robert Downey Jr. played Tony Stark for many years and is now playing Doom. Because of this, many fans believe Doom could somehow be connected to Tony Stark. But Marvel has NOT confirmed that Doom is a Tony Stark variant. For now, it is only a fan theory. THE MULTIVERSE IS IN BIG TROUBLE The new footage also gives us more clues about the multiverse. Marvel has already said that heroes from different universes will come together in Doomsday. The new scenes suggest that the different universes may be getting closer to each other and could eventually collide. This could explain why the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men are all appearing in the same movie. THE X-MEN ARE BACK Another huge part of Doomsday is the return of the old X-Men characters. Patrick Stewart is returning as Professor X. Ian McKellen is returning as Magneto. James Marsden is returning as Cyclops. Kelsey Grammer is returning as Beast. Rebecca Romijn is returning as Mystique. Alan Cumming is returning as Nightcrawler. Channing Tatum is also returning as Gambit. This means Marvel is bringing characters from the old X-Men movies into the same story as the MCU heroes. CAPTAIN AMERICA IS ALSO RETURNING Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers. This is surprising because Steve's story seemed to end in Avengers: Endgame. Marvel has not explained everything about his return yet, so fans are still wondering exactly which version of Steve we will see and how he becomes involved in the new multiverse crisis. THERE MAY STILL BE MORE CHARACTERS Another interesting update is that the full cast of Avengers: Doomsday has apparently not been announced yet. That means Marvel could still have some surprises. There are already many huge names confirmed, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Pedro Pascal and many returning X-Men actors. But any other rumored appearances should be treated as rumors until Marvel confirms them. SO WHAT CAN WE EXPECT? Right now, the story seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Doctor Doom is coming. Steve Rogers is returning. The Fantastic Four are involved. The X-Men are returning. The multiverse is in danger. And Loki, Bruce Banner and Doctor Doom may all have important roles in what happens next. The biggest mystery is still Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. Why does he look like Tony Stark? Why does he want Bruce Banner? What is happening to the multiverse? And what will happen to the MCU after Doomsday? Marvel has not given us all the answers yet. For now, fans will have to wait and see what Doctor Doom has planned. AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY is scheduled to release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
